PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
BEFORE CONTACTING ME ABOUT A PUPPY
Because I concentrate on quality
not quantity, I do not have puppies available all the time.
Each litter is
thoughtfully planned with goal of producing pups that are an
asset to the breed in health, type and temperament. My
puppies are offered to approved homes with reservations
given priority. Only a deposit gets you on my waiting list.
Any
puppies will remain "available" until a deposit is received.
The puppies are "graded" against
the AKC standard for the breed to determine what each puppy is
best suited for. Those puppies that come the closest to the
standard are considered "show" quality. While other puppies
are best suited to being just a companion or have obedience
potential. I do
not sell to pet shops, "puppy mills" or to individuals who do
not have the best interest of the breed and my puppy as their
intent. Temperament of the puppy, experience of the
prospective owner, expectations for the puppy and whether or
not there are children in the home and their age are some of
the things I consider when I place a puppy. I care that my
babies spend their entire life in a loving and committed
environment so making sure each puppy is carefully matched
with it's new family is something I take very seriously!
This is NOT a breed for someone who will have little time to
spend with their dog! Nor is this a breed for someone that
doesn't believe in training or will keep the dog chained in
the backyard!
I prefer to correspond initially
via email. Few people who contact me will be truly
serious about getting a puppy or will be suitable for one of
my babies. Email initially allows me a chance to know you a
little better and find out what you are looking for before
we proceed further. If one of my puppies is appropriate for
you, we will then talk on the phone next. Some people wonder
why I don't have a "questionnaire" on my website. Personally
I don't think this is the best way to get to know if someone
is a suitable home. I get a better feel for a prospective
home either through several emails or phone conversations
where I can ask questions specific to you and your
situation. A questionnaire is too impersonal to me! If
you are interested in getting a puppy from me, please email
your questions and tell me what your expectations are for
the puppy. Tell me if you are looking strictly
for a companion or if you have intentions to show or breed. I
normally reply to emails within a day, most of the time within
a few hours. Any information you can include about dogs,
especially Rottweilers, you have owned in the past or
presently own is helpful. I may request references from people
such as your vet or breeder of previous dogs you have owned.
Please include your location and phone # when you email me. If I feel you are
serious in your interest and one of my puppies would be a good
choice, we can then arrange to talk on the
phone next. I do not have a contract on my website and I don't
just send out contracts on request. Only after talking to
you and deciding you would be a suitable home is a contract
sent for you to review.
Pricing may not be the same from one litter to the next and
will not be the same for each puppy in a litter. Price depends
on the quality of an individual puppy compared to the AKC
"Standard" for the breed, pedigree and titles of the
parents. "Pet" quality puppies will be the lowest priced
puppies I offer and are strictly for companion purposes, no
showing or breeding and pets will have AKC "limited"
registration. This means they are not eligible for breeding
or showing in AKC conformation shows however they are still
eligible for AKC obedience events and can hold obedience
titles.
Puppies are picked up or shipped
at 8 wks. Puppies will have begun their vaccination series and
been wormed several times. Complete health records will be
furnished. I dock tails and
remove dewclaws on all my puppies.
